I didn't know folks still coon hunted. One of my grandpas coon hunted. I always wondered what they did with the coons..I'm not eating one! So, what did you do with the coons you killed?

I have eaten them. Those were killed to control predation on chickens and were disposed. I leave them for next time most of the time.

Uncle Earls was a blast !! We bayed Patch in the 1 dog and 2 dog events ! We were the on Lacy dogs in the event and the only ones there with a Lacy period ! Patch bayed against 200 dogs in the 1 dog and finished 110 . Patch and buck bayed against 125 teams in 2 dog and finished 62 . I was not thrilled and finished about were I figured we would . I hoped we would have done better in 1 dog but that's how it goes. We start practicing for next year and we will go back next year . I was proud of my dog and hope to have a full lacy team next year ! We ate great food met some awesome people and made some new friends. I also met a man from Oklahoma who use to have Lacy's for many years his last one recently died she was 28 years old ! That just blew my mind . I learned just how far behind the Lacy's have fallen to the other breeds in hog dog and by pen world . What a shame that is to see and to hear the comments did not help either .We did get a little respect and interest after we bayed so that helped . We have to do more to get these dogs in the hands of more hog doggers be for its to late . We need to more so we can get them back to what they were bred to. We are losing the breed as they were meant to be I can't speak for the Lacy brothers but I wonder what they would think about the breed today !! Any way we had a great time !! Here is a link to all of my pictures from the weekend hope you enjoy ! s592.photobucket.com/albums/tt4/JWCAMO/Uncle%20Earls%202011/
