Well it goes over well when they are kissing them. Then we go on to say stuff like you should of seen how he licked that deer blood up and was tearing up that hide. Or I think it is odd how he was eating all of that deer and turkey poop! That is when it kind of turns for some odd reason.

Funny! I bet "old lady" didn't even know what Rowdy had been doing.. And, I bet you told her what he was up to, as soon Rowdy gave her a big Lacy kiss, right? That is just wrong! LOL!

I had a nice practice run with Jackson today at camp. I didn't shoot deer but I think it was all the same to him. I shot arrow into ground then put blood on it and walked out track. Came back to camp waited an hour or so and then took him to it. He did good. I kept him going just a bit but he did a nice job. By the way he can smell the blood on the dirt from our last deer a few weeks ago. It's amazing. Trying to eat dirt where all the deer blood was.

How many are training pups on lead versus off lead at this point? Just wondering.

when mine get older (there only 2wks) I'll be training on lead. Just cuz my hunters are dumb and might shoot the dog or the neigbors hunters(they shot one of my goats)

Sorry about your goat. I agree, I think I would keep your dog on lead.

Ran another good mock trail today. Jackson did good. I give him about a b+. Would of got an A but he was a bit of a sissy and did not want to go thru the briars. Other than that did great.

Well I shot a cull buck this week. We didn't have much of a track with the 45-70 in PW Season. I set it up just the same and Jackson of course entered the food plot searching hard core. He was on the deer right away. I need a nice short track but at least I have some more blood.

Another one bites the dust that's great.
You can never have to much deer blood.
Our 2011 deer season is coming to an end soon. I will return to running mock trails.
