Yesterday, we had to have surgery on a nine month old pup. The vet had to remove a piece of that plasticised mesh paper that is found under processed meat, between it and the styrofoam, from her stomach, where it had blocked off most of the flow to her intestines. Fortunately, we caught it in time, and there was no permanent damage. But, the surgery was very expensive!
Apparently, she had recovered this tasty morsel from our garbage, and chewed and swallowed it during the night.
The symptoms were unusual bowel movements, combined with vomiting mostly digested food a few hours after meals...
