I am looking for the closest place to New Orleans to train the dog for hogs. I need guidance, help, consultation on training for wood hunting hogs. We own land in MS about 1 hour south of Jackson and I think with help we should be able to build a bay pen for training. The issue comes into when we want hogs to train will we have them. So I will need to be able to buy them or trap them and hold them in a separate pen. I am not sure how this will work at all. I am not looking to raise hogs just want practice and training for the dogs so we can hunt them and hopefully keep the population in check on our Deer hunting land not hog property. Attachments:

Gabe I checked it out the web site, and those guys are serious.
I may be interested if you get this figured out, but blood trailing is first.

They are pretty good people on that site they will call back .That being said If I do not know some one I do not trust them with my dogs. Gabe let me give you some advise, If you do hook up with them see if you can go watch them first and see what they got going on . See what there set up is like and how they are working there dogs . Do not take you pup the first time go or if you do you do not let any one do anything with that pup unless you are 100 % for sure they know what they are doing. If they do not know what they are doing they will mess your dog all up . Just my 2 cents .Keep us informed !

OK. Thats good advice. Thanks. I wish that you had someone you trusted that lived this way. If you come across someone let me know. It seems that some of those guys don't have alot of attachment to the dogs from reading the posts. They just trade them run them and then get rid of them if they don't perform.
