Heres the first track Sniper did on a real deer. He did awesome and you can see he got to about 10 feet of the deer and he wouldnt go any closer until I was kneeling down with it.. youtu.be/kYUQm7IGlfE

He didn't move real fast, but his nose was always on the ground! Thank you so much, from my heart, for your posts and videos. This is what it's all about!

Cristi, He was trying to pull like a dozer at first but I wasnt ready with the tripod yet. When we are training him to walk on the regular leash we dont let him tug and pull ahead of us. We have been teaching him to stay close to us.. So I think when I was holding resistance on him to get the tripod set up he reverted back to his regular leash training and didnt want to pull too hard. It made me realize there is going to be a juggling act teaching him to know the difference between his orange tracking lead and his leash.. Being a new TRACKING HANDLER we are both learning together. On his next track of JAKES 8 point we gave him alot more lead and let him go a bit better. Ill post that track up soon so you can see the difference..
