I learn something new everyday when I'm on the track with Sadie. Today's lesson was release the dog from the deer before the hunter approaches.
The hunter went to thank Sadie for her find. She bit his one good hand.
He laughed and said now I only have one good leg.

That is an awesome story! Thanks for sharing! There is a story behind my getting Jemma, and Jemma's name. Believe it or not, our getting Jemma was my doing. The hubs approved it, but I searched for and found "this perfect blue girl." I'll tell you the story when I meet you! Anyway, Sadie reminds me so much of Jemma. It was confirmed when Sadie bit the man! Jemma, Princess Warrior Jemma Jo Sweets, is an awesome Lacy in so many ways! Cliff doesn't like her name, and even suggested that I was "nuts." But her name fits her. And, I am certain the "Princess Warrior" fits Sadie too. Keep doing what you're doing with "our girl!" Not only is Sadie beautiful, she's a working dog! Enjoy her, and keep posting your pictures and stories, so we can enjoy her too! I'm so proud of you and for you! And, I'm so proud that I got to know Sadie during the first 8 weeks of her life!

Thanks for the kind words.
Sadie has brought much joy to our lives as a family dog and a working dog. I am fortunate to have the time to train her everyday.
I spend 2 hours in the morning and two hours in the evening hunting. The rest of the day is training, playing or hiking with Sadie.
This year theme as my friends call it. " It's all about the dog "
I'm a believer in sharing information that may benefit all. I know I have gained information from these threads. I thank the lacy owners that use this forum for their input.
You have all helped me train Sadie. I look forward to your continued support.
Thank You

He was talking to me, Clifford! We learn from you too! It's has been a joy keeping up with Jazz's and Jemma's pups. And, the fact that they all seem to be doing so well with tracking, at such an early age, really makes me happy! I am a bit jealous though! Cliff has spend time with Sadie, and has seen how she's growing! I'm going to see her again too! And, I can't wait!
