Sadly, I must report tonight the passing of Jade... Keith informed me that she was killed in a freak accident this morning while out for a run... Our hearts go out to the family with this sad news, because all of us in the Lacy community understand just how these wonderful dogs become a part of the family, and how much we all love them....
Jade, like so many of the best, left this life far too soon!

Thank you Clifford for your sympathies. My family and I feel an extreme lost at this time. I had just worked two blood trails the day before and we were looking forward to this hunting season.

Sorry for your lose. I'm not sure what I'd do without my dumb blue dog.

Losing our beloved Mt. Cur Jo led to us getting our Lacys. Thankfully, God blesses us with better days, and leaves us with great memories once the hurt is gone. Over the years, we have heard far too many stories of the loss of great Lacys, mostly from accidents, and frequently at relatively young ages. The hardest thing to deal with seems to be the inevitable thoughts that somehow you might have prevented them. But, the truth is that every time you turn your dog out, you may not get it back... Remain thankful for each day that we have these great animals in our lives, and enjoy the time you have with them. Dogs, often get to heaven quicker than we do. But, it's nice to think that they don't mind waiting on us!
