In mid October after Sadie's nose healed we took a call and went tracking. This was Sadie's first recovery of the season. It was a gut shot doe from the evening before. The hunter thought he made a good shot and tracked it shortly after. He jumped it and was smart enough to back out after he saw it run off. It took us a good half hour to sort out the track the next morning. The hunter couldn't remember where the hit site was and brought us to the area he last saw the deer. Sadie tracked in a large circle then headed down a well used deer trail. That's were we found the deer. When I approached Sadie went to the front of the deer. Sadie enjoying her reward and important part of tracking.
