Jemma's First Trip To IL

Clifford and Jemma are on their way home now. I'm really excited to see all the changes in Jemma. I really, really had a hard time letting her go. She's such a baby. And, of course I don't want to miss any of her new milestones.

But, anyway, she went to IL, and according to Clifford had a wonderful time.

Confidence building....that's why Jemma went to IL. This was her first time there, so she's had the opportunity to experience all sort of new things. I think everyday was an adventure for her. Her latest... eating the dead birds and running around with feathers in her mouth. She smells like dead birds....

I wonder how she'll act around the big dogs...Jazz had really started liking the fact that Jem isn't around to bother her. She has even stopped all that pouting she'd started the day Jemma came home.

Jazz, get ready. Princess Warrior Jemma Jo Sweets is on her way home!

Well, we have returned...
And, I am here to report that Jemma did, indeed, have a great time.
But, she also changed over from a sweet little puppy to an overconfident little demon who exihibits a strong determination to defy any, and all, efforts to control her actions.

She thinks that grabbing a bird wing, and running away as fast as she can, is the greatest fun in the world!
Since there is no fence to confine her, she turned a simple go out and pee exercise into twenty minutes of trying to get her back inside.
Its like Jones all over again!

She likes to ride in the truck, but also likes to run from one side to the other without jumping into either open door, all the while laughing at your efforts to explain that you have to be somewhere.

Yes, Jemma's first trip to Illinois was a real coming out party!
And, I suspect that this is just the beginning of watching the real Lacy emerge!

Where are the standard issue items I sold you with Jemma...you know...the flexi-lead and the Bull Whip?! Did you not take them with you to IL?!?

She definitely needs a firm hand, and gets Alpha rolled more than the others did...
