Frisbee is a great way to bond with your dog and keep them in shape when it is not hunting season. All you need is a frisbee and some open space. Frisbee stimulates their prey drive, and catching it is very satisfying. Also, in the course of training the dog learns commands to set them up for a catch so it is good for obedience. If there is a frisbee dog club near you, you can go and compete in Toss & Fetch or more advanced classes and win medals. There will also be lots of friendly, well socialized dogs there for your dog to make friends with. Attachments:

I would love to compete in frisbee with Amos but I haven't found any such club around here. Lila is getting it also. Her prey drive is incredible but I'll put some funnies in another post.

Same for us here. I haven't found anything like that. I'm going to attempt to work with Jemma and Jazz on the frisbee. We'll see what happens!

Eventually the frisbee will be full of punctures and sharp places from all the biting. the dogs may tear up their tongues and leave blood on the frisbee but they seem to think it is a bonus. You can buy extra tough frisbees for hard biters. Or keep buying regular ones and throw them away when they don't fly so well.

Which is probably a lot cheaper than getting rid of dogs that won't chase them, right? I am quite certain that Jones would rather drink beer and watch!

My Emma dog would only chase Things That Bleed, never anything so mundane as a stupid frisbee.
