I was reminded tonight why you shouldn't try to eat a charred marshmallow peep until it has cooled. Those suckers are HOT and not only that the caramelized sugar sticks to you. But oh, so good they are. Any peep eaters out there?

I looooove peeps, I even have a T-shirt that says "Where my peeps at?" and has a picture of a peep. Never stuck a peep on a stick to roast over a fire, but they are fun to watch in the microwave! They get huge, then they cave in! I should needle felt a peep! thanks for the inspiration! I should go to the store and buy some peeps before they are all gone, probably on sale right now too. Peep rationing, you know. ps off topic: got the latest Countryside magazine and thought of you. They have an article about heirloom breeds of cattle and mention the Florida cracker cow. They are extremely endangered. Sounds like a useful breed, being heat tolerant and all.

I have a gas range...just turn the sucker on; stick the peep on a fork and burn away. Delicious
