I was on the Georgia Outdoor News magazine forum, www.gon. com and then you click on forum and they have a whole section on hog hunting. The people there post photos of their dogs it seems most of them have the little GPS antennaes poking out of their collars and at least have on cut collars. That could possibly be because the people that are tech-savvey enough to post photos are the ones that use all the GPS gear. Anyway, earlier there were some posts about dogs getting killed but not in the past couple of months, so that is good. A lot of those people on the forum also sell and swap hog dogs and puppies about as fast as kids used to swap those darned Japanese animae trading cards and for good money. Others complain about getting ripped off for dogs that won't bay/ won't hunt/ hunt armadillos etc. instead. People have also gotten on there and said, "if you have a good dog, don't tell anyone else!!!" They get stolen too, microchip and all. It appears that there is a whole culture just devoted to hog hunting, I even found an eBay store! I wonder what a vetted, trained dog with GPS and cut gear would run? I think it is a smart dog that would take a hard hit and say "Whoa!" That is what a wolf would do, he would sit back and wait for the rest of the pack to come help.

Well know that proves my point that guy you talked to was the result of a poor breeding program ! Had that breeding been stopped you would not have run into that guy. I think we put more restrictions And thought into dog breeding than human breeding. Heck that's why I have no children there is noway that would turn out good. Can't speak for Clifford but he may be in same boat. Seriously you can find those that type here or any where. I know here that is not the normal response you would get if you asked . The majority would care about there dogs. There are or use to be a good argument for not running protective gear . Old timers are use to vest that were thick hot and very restrictive. They would slow your dog and put them more at risk of getting hurt. The would get heavy when wet and drowned your dog in deep water then there is the over heating. There are a lot of people not aware of new equipment and its improvements.I find that to be with older hunters and those back woods boys with no computer. Here the younger crowd is catching on. As we all know old tradition die slowly in the deep south ! As far as dogs that bay and breeding them you never what you will get .Yes dogs will get in a pen and bay and pick it up quickly. now to get a great bay dog you may go threw a lot of dogs to get one that is top notch and can score perfect runs 90% of the time is not a easy find. I watch a dog Sat. night that could work a hog in a pen. I think Clifford saw her in a earlier class. That night in 1 dog pro this dog tied for 1 st with 4 other dogs that had perfect score . It ran a bay off one at a 4 times and one . In all that day the dog ran 8 times with flawless runs every time it was just amazing. If you go to Fort Bayou bay look for a dog named Little Ann she is a small mixed dog . That dog will blow your mind. She bayed off 4 times against a friends Cat that rarely loses .That night he was offered $ 6000.00 for the dog and would not sell . That dog made him in prize money about $2000.00 for the weekend. That is chump change to the money at Uncle Earls .Well I think we have milked this dry unless Clifford has something to add. Its great to get every ones side ans prospective on things in a civilized manner.Rebbecca still not sure if we will be there Memorial day weekend. We will see what happens at breemond this Sat.
Christi ! The girls that were there too were the result of close line breeding and poor judgment no worries. I mean the girl set her hair on fire and the bad thing was it was a improvement.

And, with that last comment, I must add a few more thoughts. Some of the women there had to be careful about where they walked, so that they did not get thrown into the pen. There was no shortage of kitchen applied bleached blonde hair, and I could not tell exactly what fashion era was being represented, although I was quite sure it was retro something weekend! Some of them did seem like they might be vaguely familiar with the practice of brushing teeth, because they had managed to save a few. Yes, they were special!
