Tomorrow Ben, Amos, Otis, Lila and I will travel to Warner Robins, GA to check out what I believe to be a Lacy. This guy was found in TN and brought to GA by a young woman who has rescued Lacys before. Sandy and Cynthia think he's a go. Tomorrow will tell. I'm hoping he's a nice boy, gets along with mine so that we can bring him home and foster him until a suitable home can be found. So keeps your ears open for anyone looking for a blue, neutered, chipped, heartworm negative male.

I hope it works out! And that you miss all the thunderstorms. We are in a partially outdoor wedding today, Frank's oldest son is getting married. It will be in a gazebo. The bride has a white dress with long train, maybe they will put it in a wheelbarrow or something so it doesn't drag in the wet ground.
I will talk to Frank, maybe we could help with fosters in the future. He just wants us to have only 2 permanent dogs.

Well it was a slightly rainy day driving up. Met Elyssa who has fostered Buddy. We stayed about 2 hours meeting him, letting him get acquainted with our dogs and me examining every inch of him, OVER AND OVER. They all got along which was very surprising. For the life of me I would swear he was a Lacy except...his coat looked mottled in places, he had big feet, his chest was wider than either of my males and his nose looked just a bit wider and longer. He had a very nice disposition and was not challenging at all to Otis or Amos. He didn't look taller than Amos but broader across the back. I wanted so badly to think he was a full Lacy but just could not make that call. They were very nice folks and assured me that he'd be there until they found an appropriate home. I'm glad I brought all three of ours because it would have very difficult to see the differences between mine and him without them being side by side. And Cynthia, he had hair on his ears. What we thought to be alopecia looked more like short underfur. The dark places were longer black looking hairs. Very few of them but they were there as were a few white hairs on his sides. His coat was not wirey either which I was expecting from a dog with alopecia. He'll make someone a nice dog. The foster folks got to see just how nicely he did react to my dogs and also to the "cat" test.
