Unfortnatly Rebecca turning a coon loose is just as illegal as having one. Shooting it is a third charge. Any animal released would have to be trapped there, and not moved. Even though we have a few members that can trap them legally and move or destroy them, they have to follow specific guide lines. If it were before Feb 15 it would be fair game. unfortunately Copper says he will still be hibernating at such time, thank you! lol. UKC, PKC, and NKC get away with it at their events though. I'll have to check into how. I honestly think it's one of those under the radar things though.

Well maybe we could just put a cat in a cage... I know what my dogs would do, and those nasty things are everywhere!

Scott,,what if..just thinking out loud for my little furry friends here in north fla..say they wanted to take a little vacation to the foothills to see the violets blooming.. any problems?? Of course they'd have to show their driver's license and all. So...you can't kill a coon past Feb if he's tresspassing?

Squirrel season will be over but I don't see why we couldn't tree some. I would like to learn more about those competitive squirrel hunts. It would be neat to have a hog to bay too. Pearl has never seen a hog and I would like her to learn some respect for one.
