+++ In Chicago in the 50's a law was passed saying you had to call them wrestling exhibitions not matches. A friend of my fathers had a big time grappler live across the alley from him. The grappler had to be caried out of the ring on a stretcher one night and when my dads friend left home the next morning to open his store at 6:30 the grappler was 2 stories up on a ladder putting screens on his house for the summer. Still like to watch though. +++

If they weren't in great shape they could never recover that fast! The only thing rigged on tv is NASCRAP!

All of the stunts they do require you to be in great shape. Falling down and not hurting yourself is an art!

Kathy, you definitely need to see it live! I have never been a wrestling fan, though I have a friend that loves it.
I watched some wrestling with this friend when we were lots younger. I remember Bret Hart, Andre the Giant, Jake the Snake.. But, Rick Flair was always my favorite!
They're all in great shape, which helps. Have fun and tell me what you think after you've seen the "real thing"!

Hope y'all have lots of fun !

I agree, Scott! And yes, I do remember Dusty Rhoads! I don't know any of the new cats.

Dusty's sons are wrestling. We used to love to do Dusty Rhoads imitations. Well Wrestlemania was a hoot, and my ears are still recovering due to all the pyrotechnics and shrieking kids. My favorite was the No Holds Barred match between Undertaker and Triple H. They really truly beat the snot out of each other, with all the stuff they went crashing through. It just had to hurt. And when Triple H limped out of the ring holding his arm, and Undertaker was rolled out laying in the back of a cart, it LOOKED like it hurt! Now having said that, I am going to be mightily annoyed if I see them on RAW tonight bouncing around good as new!
