I was at the gas station last saturday pumping Gold i mean GAS into my tank and i noticed a lady walking a dog in the grass accross the parking lot! So i yell accross and ask her what kind of dog is that and she kinda chuckles and says i quote "OH you prob have never heard of this before its called a TEXAS BLUE LACY" I just kind smiled and finished pumping gas then walked and told her i had one and she was like no no no you prob have one like this color but its not a LACY they are very rare! Well long story short i showed her tracker's pictures and we just laughed and she was shocked! She called her husband over and we talked come to find out they are from FLORIDA and drove to texas to pic the puppy up! It was an 18 hour drive one way they said! I was able to get pics of the cute pup let me intruduce ya'll to TEXAS PETE!!   |

Awesome story!
This is me trying to tell the lady at the "doggie jail" what Jemma is. Me: She's a blue lacy. Lady: What? Me: My dog is a blue lacy. Lady: What? Me: B L U E L A C Y. She has a dark gray (or blue) coat, with white on her chest and golden or almond colored eyes. Lady: Does it (I hate someone to call my baby an IT) look like a weimaraner?" Me: YES! But, SHE (She's a female) is NOT a weimaraner.
It's so cool when someone recognizes your what your dog is! MS folks have a lot to learn! Ha!
Oh! That's definitely a blue lacy pup! And the pup is beautiful.

Well, I settled down after I met the lady in person. She was older, and very busy. I had time to check out the facility, which was very nice. And, plus, but this time, all I wanted to do was see Jemma. Nothing else much mattered. Cliffie, you would have been the same way, I promise. Do remember honey, I'm usually the one who gets bothered first. Ok, bothered is not the right word, but you understand what I'm saying...
This was one time, that I believe, it was better that you were out of town. And, this is the first time I've EVER said that. As I think back on it... You would have exploded when the neighbors asked if I got my dog back. I didn't explode because I was so distraught. And, you can laugh at how many times I wanted to jump the fence to set the fatty straight.
I'm just glad it all worked out!
