Well, I haven't decided if I should take a picture, or teach her not to excavate my yard. But, it sure looks like Sadie has inherited her mother's tendency to dig, and not just a little!
I wonder if she will dig in snow?

Sounds like she will have a blast in her new backyard. This year we have plenty of field mice to pounce on, moles to dig up and cottontails to chase.
There is a woodchuck in the poll barn that has to go. I need one that predicts an early Spring.
She may have a chance to dig in snow soon... We have a frost warning tonight.

Jack Frost...I knew him once! Where I grew up it snowed almost every winter. I miss...no I don't.

Jack Frost is here for two days which is welcome.
He's turning all the starches to sugar.
Winter gets old when hunting season closes. Then its time to become a snowbird.

I've been working on that pipeline to Dripping Springs it may take awhile.
I'll trade water for cheaper gasoline.
In the mean time may millions of puppies come pee on your state!

Hey NE Track tell Sadie to leave the porcupines alone. Do you guys have those big ground hogs in your part of NY, those are pretty mean too. Oh and then there are the Badgers.

Yes all three can present problems. Plenty of skunks too!
Just learning to upload photos trying to find the right size.
Sadie has been great I will provide more info when time permits. Its dry here now so I'M in catchup mode. Trying to get winterized before my fall travel for hunting. The wet weather has put me 2 weeks behind.

I can't help but smile! Sadie in the hole reminds me so much of her Momma! LOL! I've heard that Sadie did so well while you guys were in IL! So glad to hear it! It makes me proud!
And, I want to tell you that the digging doesn't stop right away! LOL! Jemma will STILL dig, but not as much! If's she's not digging, she's barking. If she's not barking, she's scaring the neighbors because half her body is over the fence. But, Jemma is awesome in every way! Ha! The good news is my sweet blue angel will get her fill of freedom and deer retrieval on Cliff's next trip to IL.
Oh, and if you're wondering why she's barking and half way over the fence into the neighbor's yard... A CAT! Jemma thinks the cat is a varmint, and she's an awesome varmint catcher! My response to the neighbors: SHE'S A LACY! AND, I WOULDN'T HAVE HER ANY OTHER WAY!!!
So, look forward to filling in holes. Ha! But, Sadie will be worth it, as Jemma is! Jemma has my heart, and she loves me so much more than she loves Cliff! I love my blue angel! And, she's an awesome snuggle bunny!
