I arrived in Illinois Tuesday afternoon. Clifford called and let me know he was running behind schedule. This gave me the opportunity to meet Don and engage in some great conversation with a Vietnam Vet.
Soon after Clifford, Jones and Sadie arrived. The dogs were released to stretch and take care of business.
Jones was an amazing sight . He's a nice looking Red dog thats solid muscle with a glossy coat. He has a smooth impressive gate and is lightning fast.
Sadie tried to keep up and hang with the big dogs...
We soon retired for the night as everyone was tired from our long hours on the road.
Sadie was put in her new crate and whined for a few minutes then settled in and slept through the night. I think she was jealous of Jones freedom.
We were up bright and early the next morning. I was still on eastern time... oops
We let the dogs out, fed them and did some early morning glassing. Soon after we went out to breakfast.
Fully nourished and eager to see what this season has to offer our morning trek began. Jones was kenneled and Sadie was brought along for new adventures. Neither of us knew what we were in store for. Clifford loves to walk through the woods and find premium locations to hunt.
Clifford lead the way Sadie followed and I was Trailing. The view never changes for those who follow the lead dog...
Clifford looked nice in his One-Z.

Thanks Ktynes. Yes I was very impressed with Jones.
Sadie was a little skittish with me. She didn't know what to think of her new owner.
Tired from her 4 hour trek through the woods she was ready for a nap. It was perfect timing we were heading out for Indiana. I put my shirt in the crate with her and off we went. She slept the entire trip.
We reached our destination and bonded quickly I was the guy with the food she loves to eat. She was house and crate trained in one day. I was very impressed.

I figured you would like the pup....she comes from good stock and is going to be quite the hound in my opinion.
They do tend to like the person feeding them.............

Thanks BlueDog and Cristi. She has been amazing. She loves her crate and loves to travel. Sadies aware that good things happen when we go in the truck. She's adjusting well, can be stubborn and breaks my chops too. I love all of it... especially when she tries to train her new owner. I have some good stories about our travels I will share them soon.
